About Me

About Me

Hi! My name is Naomie, but everyone calls me Mimie. I am originally from French Guiana (located in South America), so yes, I am French! Most of the decisions that I had to make were primarily based on my basketball career. For instance, I left home at the age of fourteen years old to pursue my dream in France where I studied and did what I was passionate about. Due to the need for a new challenge, I decided to continue my journey to the United-States and obtain more experience not only as an athlete but also as a student. The business environment gave me so many different opportunities and helped me develop strengths that I didn’t know about myself.

My college career ended at Oklahoma State University where I completed my graduate certificate (non-profit management). I have developed time management skills by balancing 25- 30 hours of academics, games, practices, recovery, strength training, nutrition, and traveling to remain in good standing in the NCAA.

The Women's basketball program was a blessing to me and like they say "once a Cowgirl, always a Cowgirl"!

I am currently pursuing my professional basketball career overseas, and so far, it has been an amazing journey.

Troosta Palooza

One of the greatest aspects about being a college athlete is that I have direct contact with younger children and am able to coach the fundamentals of my favorite sport!
